The Parts menu tab is the first menu tab located next to the Home link icon in the upper left portion of the progam window. Clicking the Home link icon also returns you to the Parts menu tab.
The Search Criteria choices are located in the left portion of the program window. The Search for part by section of Quick Search contains two options: Part Type or Job Description. The default option is Part Type. To select a different option click on the radio button next to the option you want.
The Search for section of Quick Search contains a blank where you can enter search criteria. Once the search text has been entered click the Search button to continue.
General Search Rule - All part types with the letter combination you enter will be returned.
Note:
This is an excellent method to use for one part. If the part is only one word, enter the first 3 letters or all of the first word, space and first letter of the second word if the part is more than one word.
Select the checkbox of one or more items from the list of search results that matched your search criteria and then click the Parts list button to continue.
Answer each question. Click the radio button next to the appropriate answer to select that answer. When all the questions have been answered click the OK button to continue.
Select one or more parts from the list by clicking the checkbox next to
it and then click the Check Availability button to perform an inquiry
or click the Add to quote button to continue to the quote view screen.
Note
When using the Quick Search method you can use the Jump to shortcut buttons to quickly switch your method at anytime during a search.
The Change vehicle button allows you to change any element of the current vehicle’s information without having to start again, including specific conditions such as 4 wheel drive. The Change button remains displayed throughout any vehicle specific search.
The default search method for finding parts can be changed by accessing the Preferences sub-menu found within the My Profile main menu.
If the search is unable to match the criteria you entered the program will return a message telling you no matches could be found.
You can return to the search page and try again or you can select a different vehicle against the same criteria.
