The quote you are currently working on is considered the active quote. Quote information is organized by vehicle if applicable and then by seller.
About the active status
A quote maintains its active status within a until one of the following events occur:
- The quote is converted to an order.
- The quote is saved.
- A saved quote is loaded, in which case the active quote is automatically stored under Saved Quotes.
- The session is ended by logging out or the session connection is interrupted in some other way.
- Another user loads the quote.
Accessing your active quote
Moving to the active quote page is most often the result of clicking the Add To Quote button from a parts list after you have selected the part(s) you intend to order. You can also access the active quote screen by:
- Clicking the Quotes menu tab then clicking the Active Quote sub-tab.
- Selecting View active quote from the drop down menu and clicking the Go button.
- Loading a quote listed on the Saved Quotes page via the load link.
From the active quote page you can:
- View quote total and subtotal(s).
- Assign a name to the quote in the Description field so that you can easily return to it for future work.
- Enter a Message to Seller which will be sent to the parts store along with the order.
- Select Shipping Options.
- Select Payment Method.
- Enter a number.
- Apply any quantity changes.
- Change the Urgent status of a part.
- Remove any items selected for removal.
- Send Order or start over from the vehicle selection screen.
- Save or delete the quote by clicking the buttons labeled Save Quote or Delete Quote.
- Click the Print this Quote link to print a hard copy version of the quote.
Note
- Any changes to information on the quote takes effect when the quote is submitted as an order or by clicking the Update Quote or Save Quote buttons.
- When you select a part to be added that has an associated core part, the charge for this core part may or may not appear in the quote based on how that seller handles core parts for you.
